FAQ
How should we coordinate outfits for our photoshoot?
COLOR + PRINTS + PATTERNS + NUETRALS!
Incorporate as many complimentary patterns, colors, and prints amongst some neutrals. Best rule of thumb is to stay away from pure white or all black. These colors are hard for photographers to work with amongst other color schemes during a session and are uninspiring. Avoid high heels, wedges, and any clothing that is so tight you are unable to move freely without a lot of effort. And when all else fails, check out Pinterest for outfit ideas!
What do you do if it rains?
It's no surprise that rain is always a possibility when you live in Washington. At all costs, we will try to press on with your session unless the rain is coming down hard. Even if the forecast says 40% chance of rain, this could mean a few showers before or after your session. I've definitely had sessions pour rain right up until we started shooting and then the sun came out and you'd never know it rain. However, the final decision is always up to client and if you are willing to dance in the rain for your photoshoot, or not, it's up to you!
When will we get our photos?
Your will receive an online gallery link with all your photos within 2-3 three weeks from the time we photograph your story. You can download all the photos from the gallery but also share them, choose your favorites, and order prints!
My family hates getting family photos. How do you handle that?
Clients always think I'm lying when I say my favorite clients are small children with a rebellious side for not sitting still and just smiling! So bring me all your fun, crazy, rad babies, toddlers, kids, etc! I've been doing this for almost ten years so I've accrued some "tricks" to getting genuine laughs + smiles during a photoshoot. My shooting style is to create a perfect balance between both posed and un posed images. I want you to look at your images and see LOVE + HAPPINESS, not perfection combined with phony smiles and stiff poses.
What sessions do you not provide?
With a specialty + passion for families, littles, and couples I am currently not providing sessions for high school seniors or boudoir sessions. Although I will happily recommend my favorite fellow photographers for these types of sessions!
